Turtle Cove Lake And Yacht Club

TURTLE COVE LAKE AND YACHT CLUB
LAKE ARENAL COSTA RICA

Almost 5 years ago, an ecologically friendly developer named Kendall Sanborn came to Lake Arenal for the first time to escape the hustle bustle and the heat of the coast where he had a development underway called Lomas Del Mar. He like almost everyone who almost stumbles upon the undiscovered beauty of the lake was struck by the pristine virgin quality of the land surrounding the lake and recognized a unique opportunity to create something special with this secret jewel.

An exceptional 30 acre lakefront parcel had just come on the market at a reasonable price which he immediately purchased, and thus were planted the seeds for TURTLE COVE LAKE AND YACHT CLUB.
I might also point out that lakefront land with lake access is a very rare commodity as most of the land on the lake side of the Lake Shore road that rings the lake is owned by the Government and only a small percentage is available for sale and development.

The concept for Turtle Cove has been very a carefully designed master plan, using only the best professionals familiar with the lake and its peculiarities to take painstaking care of the land and the environment.

What evolved is a low density 40 lot sub division., including several villas, a small boutique hotel, a spa, pool, fitness center and the lakes first yacht club and marina.
The views from Turtle Cove are truly spectacular spanning 180 degrees and taking in the entire lake as well as the volcano. Just above the marina is a dry land boat storage facility for those owners who wish to keep their boats on a trailer and launch it at the ramp a short distance away. Security was addressed early on in the planning and there will be 24 hour security personnel at the elegant gate house and the marina. The development is well underway, with the marina in, the boat storage facility, security building, the gate house, all the roads, landscaping well underway and several homes under construction.

Another unique feature about Turtle Cove is that all construction will require a sewage treatment plant rather than septic tanks as further protection of the pristine nature of the lake.

The home sites range in price from just $70,000 including one remaining lakefront lot at $92,500, all available with terms. The 2 bedroom, 2 bath villas begin at $175,000 with construction of the first phase to begin very shortly. Luxury custom Homes are also available beginning at $350,000.

Turtle Cove is one of just two lakefront residential sub divisions with lake access developed at the lake, the other Rainbow Bay about the same size has long been sold out. There are no other comparable lakefront developments on the horizon at this time and with the permit process becoming more and more stringent, the values at Turtle Cove will become more and more attractive for those that wish to be close to the lake with boat and swimming access.

I visited Mr Sanbourne at his development it is first class all the way. The views are spectacular and the weather is the best in the world, warm days and cool nights. Mr sanbourne is a strait shooter and and ensures American quality construction. I cannot wait to retire.

Thanks Again,
